Port of Registry Philadelphia, 4963 Gross Tons
Based on records from the National Archives at Kew (PRO) and the Public Record Office at Belfast (PRONI), it has been possible to start mapping the routes of the City of Flint during the 1930’s. The ship seems to have been in regular traffic between the US east coast and European ports. The information we find in these archives supports comments from Joseph Gainard, one of the Captains, who once referred to having been to German ports before WWII.
This section will, if possible, be added to as information comes to hand.
